The minimum allowable widths are:
Minimum height 30cm (11¾") wide - Minimum length 15cm (59/16") long - Maximum width 65cm (25?”) wide or 130cm (51½") long. This means you can have a maximum number stairs that require as few as two steps if they're less than half these dimensions – but it's best not to use this system unless absolutely necessary because it can make the stairs feel claustrophobic.
